I am really excited to announce that my new album ‘Truth’ is now available on all digital platforms as well as in beautiful CD format. I have worked very hard over the last 1 and a half years as an independent artist to bring this work together with the help of some wonderful people along the way to whom I am so grateful.

Everything has been written, recorded, mixed and mastered between mine and a couple of my friend's homes in Suffolk. I believe the necessity to make the most of my home equipment over this period really added to the character of these songs and makes them special to me.

The title comes from one of the tracks in particular, however It was a theme I discovered to be running throughout the whole album – truths in relationship, about society, in nature or even the lack there of to be found online and in corruption. This wasn't so much a conscious decision as it was a happy accident, but I thought it fitting title for the project.

I am really pleased with how it turned out and am happy that these songs are out in the world finally. It would mean the world to me if you share it with anyone who you think might enjoy it too.

I was very grateful to perform in the final of the Milkmaid Songwriting Competition 2024 on Friday the 26th of April having made it through the heats stage. 40 songs were submitted overall and the 8 that made it through to the final were each very worth of its place. Amazingly, amongst these I was selected as the overall winner with my entry of 'Aurora'. I was awarded with a cash prize and an additional opportunity to showcase my music at the Bury Folk Festival alongside the incredibly talented Samantha Penman who took runner up.

In an attempt to write a seasonal tune that wasn't strictly a Christmas song I came up with ‘Aurora’. This is a ballad about the Northern Lights and how I imagine them to be from far away in Suffolk.

The song is quite stripped back with finger-picked acoustic guitar and layered harmonies from my amazing friend Abi Blake!

I have decided it would be nice to release this to streaming platforms on the 4th of January for my birthday. I hope this song brings some peace this winter and stays with people into the new year beginning!
